COMPOSITION

Each sachet contains:

Phenylbutazone BP………………1.0g

DESCRIPTION

BUTE-ZONE is non-steroidal, analgesic agent with anti-inflammatory (NSAIDs) and antipyretic activity, in easy to measure, easy to feed powder.

INDICATIONS

BUTE-ZONE for the alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders in adult horses.

DOSAGE

Recommended Dosage:

Treatment Horses: 400-650 Kg

Day 1: (8.Bmg/kg bodyweight)-4 sachets-2 in morning and 2 in evening.

Days 2-5: (4.4mg/kg bodyweight) – 2 sachets per day

IMPORTANT: Treatment should not exceed 5 consecutives days

Simply sprinkle BUTE-ZONE onto feed. For fussy eaters mix with molasses or corn syrup then mix with feed, apple or a treat.

OVER DOSAGE

Overdoses of phenylbutazone can cause renal failure, liver injury, bone marrow suppression, and gastric ulceration or perforation. Early signs of toxicity include loss of appetite, and depression.

SIDE EFFECTS

Adverse side effects from overdose or prolonged use can cause gastro intestinal ulcers, kidney damage, oral lesions, and internal hemorrhage, particularly in young, ill, or stressed horses.
